ISPF highlighting should support highlighting HTML in ASCII mode. With the growth of HTML files in USS that appear in ASCII mode, ISPF support of these files makes sense. HTML coders will benefit, as well as the entire ISPF ecosystem.

Provide an ISPF equivalent to XEDIT SET PENDING

Provide an ISREDIT service to insert a macro in a specified line but not invoke it until the next ENTER. That would simplify writing edit macros equivalent to: Prefix macros for THE and XEDIT Source ODT Slides for prefix macro demo Source ODT
