RSF

Depending on security requirements, the customer is not allowed to connect zSeries HMC to the Internet.
For this reason, I request the addition of a function that connects the system of the destination of the RSF and the HMC in the customer data center with a private line or IP-VPN.
If this request is not accepted, please tell me the reason for explanation to the customer by end of July 2017.

Thanks for your input. We do not see any significant security benefit by establishing a VPN with IBM over our standard methods of transmitting data. Our current communications methods are one-way, from the customer's machine to IBM. VPN connections are two way, allowing IBM to access the customer's network. Our HTTPS connections are TLS 1.2, using high levels of encryption. We do not believe this enhancement would improve security. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
