Crypto Express: Should show "Standby" status after setting OFFLINE within an LPAR to safely toggle crypto card

After MCL Update on a IBM Z CEC you may have to toggle the Crypto Express Cards to activate the new firmware code on these cards (Pendig conditions).

A good description can be found in doc: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/best-practices-toggling-cryptographic-cards-ibm-z-servers

However, at step

“7. From the Configure On/Off task, select all the partitions where the cards are currently configured online by checking the Select boxes for each partition by LPAR Name”

you can’t be sure that the card is no longer used by this LPAR after you have DEACTIVATED it within  ICSF because on the Support Element the “Current State” is still “Online”.

The Idea is, that the Crypto Express cards have same behavior as FICON cards, the “Current State” is changed to “Standby” after you configured the channel OFFLINE within the LPAR.
