HMC API to change time from Standard Time to Daylight Savings Time and back

We are looking to automate tasks for testing time changes. We would like to have the ability to change the time using an API on the HMC from Standard Time to Daylight Savings Time and vice versa. This will allow us to thoroughly test our cases with time changes automatically, without the need to manually change the time and run the tests.

    The HMC does not provide an API to manually toggle between Standard Time and Daylight Saving Time. Instead, the recommended approach is to configure the managed system to use system-managed time and synchronize with an external time source. You can achieve the behavior you?re looking for by connecting your system to a reliable external time service using either Network Time Protocol (NTP) or Precision Time Protocol (PTP). With this setup, time adjustments, including transitions between Standard Time and Daylight Saving Time, are handled automatically based on the time source and configured time zone rules. This approach ensures consistency, reduces the need for manual intervention, and aligns with best practices for time synchronization in automated testing environments.
