Complete Power Consumption Charts for Intelli Magic

After installing the z17s and re-IPLing all LPARs, the power consumption data from our CECs became visible in IntelliMagic. To be honest, I still do not fully understand why an IPL is required for this.

However, there is still a gap between the Total Power Consumption line and the other aggregated values. IBM investigated this issue in a support case and informed us that this gap represents the power consumption of Coupling Facility and Linux LPARs, which currently cannot be reported by IntelliMagic.

The underlying data is available through the HMC monitors, and we require this information for capacity and power planning purposes. However, the staff responsible for analyzing the data do not have authorization to access the HMC directly. In addition, manually collecting and consolidating the data is neither efficient nor practical.

Therefore, please make all power consumption data available in IntelliMagic, including the values for Coupling Facility and Linux LPARs, to enable comprehensive and accurate power consumption analysis.
