Allow more than 8 coupling facilities to be defined in a CFRM policy

Currently the maximum CFs per Coupling Facility Resource Management policy is 8. As a large shop we currently have to simultaneously maintain two policies in our production environment (one for prod and one for logical corruption detection/LCD), and as we move to new data centers, we will need to maintain three policies for the various development permutations. Looking forward it's possible we're going to need even more CFRM policies to cover our production environment. Is there a reason there is a hard limit of 8, or is it possible to expand to 24 or perhaps even 99 CF definitions per policy?

I appreciate you taking the time to look this over and respond. Thank you!

The maximum number of policies that the XCF Administrative Data Utility (IXCMIAPU) can define for CFRM is determined by the target couple data set. The maximum number of policies a CFRM couple data set can contain is determined at creation/format time. The maximum number of policies the XCF Couple Data Set Format Utility will allow for CFRM is 32. See https://www.ibm.com/docs/zos/latest?topic=utility-cfrm-parameters-format. So, support already exists to define up to 32 policies in your CFRM couple data set. If your CFRM couple data set only supports 8, format new, larger couple data sets that support more policies and bring them into use.
