Encryption Facility should follow RFC 9580 regarding default algorithms lists. DES3 and SHA1 should not be included as they are now deprecated.

We are using Encryption Factify for z/OS V1.2 in conjunction with RACF to generate X509 Certificates and exporting the corresponding public keys. Our business partner is unable to use these public keys because they contain non-compliant algorithms DES3 and SHA1 in the default preference lists. Our partners encryption software is using the first algorithm from each preference lists.

Please note that IBM Encryption Facility Version 1.2 requires JVMLDM86 which is going off support EO Sept 2026 which may render this version unsupported.
