This is the public portal for all IBM Z Hardware and Operating System related offerings. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

In order to comply with PCI 3 (Payment Cards Industry) requirements for elimination of the usage of SHA-1 in RSA cryptography, as well as the requirement for "key bundling", NCR has elected to implement support the following "technical recommendations":
- ASC X9 TR-31 2010 (Interoperable Secure Key Exchange Key Block Specification for Symmetric Algorithms)
- ASC X9 TR-34 2012 (Interoperable Method for Distribution of Symmetric Keys using Asymmetric Techniques: Part 1 – Using Factoring-Based Public Key Cryptography Unilateral Key Transport)
TR-34 is the only support that NCR will have to:
1) Use SHA-256 instead of SHA-1 during RSA key distribution.
2) Distribute TR-31 Key Protection Keys.
I have been told that TR-34 is not currently supported by ICSF and the mainframe CryptoExpress features. As we are already out of compliance (as of December 2016) with regard to the SHA requirement, we require TR-34 support as soon as possible.

Is there any update to this request? This functionality is required for encryption key distribution that conforms to PCI 3 on NCR ATMs.
This is in plan for a future release.
Kind of amusing, as I originally opened this under Hardware; Security / Crypto. I then switched it to ICSF, thinking it would be an API concern rather than a hardware concern. Guess I was right in the first place! :-)
