RACF protection of the sub-keywords of FCTOPPRCPRIMARY for the COPY, DEFRAG and CONSOLIDATE functions

Currently, it is only possible to protect the main keyword, FCTOPPRCPRIMARY, of the COPY, DEFRAG and CONSOLIDATE functions using RACF profiles, e.g.STGADMIN.ADR.COPY.FCTOPPRCP. We would also like to protect the sub-keywords of the FCTOPPRCPRIMARY keyword as well, i.e. PRESMIRREQ, PRESMIRPREF and PRESMIRNONE, with RACF to ensure our PPRC environment remains undisturbed from such COPY operations by our DB2 DBAs.

    Yes, we've already implemented exit ADRUIXIT to provide the functionality requested in this RFE. The exit is also easily extendable to allow for other keywords and sub-keywords to be protected using RACF profiles.
    I raised this RFE to to request that this functionality be built in to normal security checking by the product so we can remove the exit.

    Hello and thank you for the requirement. Have you considered using the Options Installation Exit Routine named ADRUIXIT? Using this installation exit you have the ability to override any request for PRESMIRPREF and PRESMIRNONE to PRESMIRREQ. Information regarding ADRUIXIT and the ADRUFO parameter list is documented in the DFSMS Installation Exits Manual.
