IBM Z Hardware and Operating Systems Ideas Portal

This is the public portal for all IBM Z Hardware and Operating System related offerings. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Search existing ideas

Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

Align keytype in R_datalib with CERTPRVT in template

Align keytype in R_datalib with CERTPRVT in template
====================================================

CERTDATA segment of the GENERAL template has defined CERTPRVT as:
v X'00000000' – No associated key
v X'00000001' – PKCS DER-encoded
v X'00000002' – ICSF token label
v X'00000003' – PCICC label
v X'00000004' – DSA
v X'00000005' – ICSF public token label
v X'00000006' – Reserved for IBM's use
v X'00000007' – NIST ECC key
v X'00000008' – Brainpool ECC key
v X'00000009' – NIST ECC token label in PKDS
v X'0000000A' – Brainpool ECC token label in PKDS
v X'0000000B' – RSA token label in TKDS
v X'0000000C' – NIST ECC token label in TKDS
v X'0000000D' – Brainpool ECC token label in TKDS

In the R_Datalib (IRRSDL00) output then Private_key_type
does not list :
X'00000008' – Brainpool ECC key
X'0000000A' – Brainpool ECC token label in PKDS

I believed it to be missing documentation, however I find
that when running the DataGetFirst then both a BP and a NIST ECC
key will return 00000009 as key type (for PKDS)
(which is correct as for the text in IRRSDL00 only mentions ECC
and not curve).

This item is a valid requirement but unlikely to be given high enough priority to be placed into the product plan. If this requirement is high value, please re-open it, or open a new requirement.
