We've recently upgraded to zOS 2.3, and JES2 now requires a large amount of ePVT storage.
On z/OS V2.1, we must use 1200MB of ECSA for our IMS environment.
Therefore, we want the JES2 ePVT space to be the same as V2.1 in order to upgrade to z / OS V2.3.
If we will reduce ECSA, the work to the customer may be delayed.

Any amount that could be reduced from our ePVT is greatly appreciated to accommodate the large amount of ECSA needed to support our many DB2 and IMS environments per single z/OS System. Thanks!
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
Product family - z Systems Software
Product - z/OS
Component - JES2
Operating system - IBM z/OS
Source - zBLC
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
Product family - z Systems Software
Product - z/OS
Component - JES2/JES3
Operating system - IBM z/OS
Source - zBLC
APAR OA61229 (z/OS 2.4 and later) has moved the JES2 TGM from 31 bit private to 64 bit private for a savings of approximately 48M. Other areas are being considered for future releases.
While we aren't planning to change 2.3... we are planning to reduce the 31 bit private area requirement in a future release... so we will accept this.
