Catalog Name Filtering for F CATALOG,ALLOCATED

Resubmitting SSMVSS15002

-The MODIFY CATALOG,ALLOCATED allows filtering by the discrete volume serial number of the location of the catalog, however there is no filtering mechanism based upon the actual name of the catalog itself. The IEC348I response message has a limit to the number of catalogs that can be reported in this display due to the properties of a Multi-Line WTO message. If a system has more than 239 catalogs in use, the final detail line listed has a pseudo catalog name of:

* "MLWTO LIMIT REACHED, NOT ALL CATALOGS SHOWN"

-Furthermore, because the Master Catalog will always be the last catalog to be listed, it will also be the first catalog to be omitted from the IEC348I report once the MLWTO limit is reached. There is no other alternate way of displaying the current system's master catalog and its volser, and the DISPLAY IPLINFO command will not provide this information, either.

This sounds like a good idea. IBM make no commitment, but should resources allow, we consider it for a future release.
