This is the public portal for all IBM Z Hardware and Operating System related offerings. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Our requirement is that we have to map all of our RACF commands back to an access request/change record so that we can prove that change was authorized.
zSecure has Command Logger to log a ticket and description. but the CKXLOGID information is not propagated like the RACF Command. So if you have an environment with multiple RACF DB's then you have to go to the Command Logger Logstream on all the systems to determine where the command originated from to see if the ticket and description was supplied.
We require an easy option to look at SMF (which has the propagated commands) or Command Logger to allow us to see what comment/ticket/description that was provided with the RACF Command. Also, Command Logger does not support all RACF commands like certificate commands.
Yes, agree. Just new data in SMF, nothing needed in the RACF database. Could be a new field or could be LOGSTR field.
Thank you for submitting this requirement. Our interpretation is that a new field would be added to existing command log records, with no updates to the RACF database.
