Write IEFC001I and IEFC002I information to SMF

At the point where IEFC001I and IEFC002I messages are produced, also write this information to SMF. The record should indicate if it was a cataloged procedure (the IEFC001I infomation) or an INCLUDE group, the member used, whether it came from a private or system library, and the dsname of that library, in addition to job identification information. Possibly the stepname should be included (names internal to a cataloged procedure are not needed)

File 432 Philips Lighting mods has an Exit 6 that does this based on JES2 proclib concatenation but pre-dates the INCLUDE JCL. To handle new World, would this RFE address not only first level PROCs and INCLUDEs but also the nested PROCs and INCLUDES? If so this would be very useful.

The idea of an exit is good if this can't be performed in the existing EXIT6, but I think to have IBM decide to place the information in a record and write it is not. Allowing sites to decide whether they want the data or not is a good thing, but it's best performed by providing the exit point so that the site itself can decide what is needed from the available information.

In my opinion the organization makes the choice to get the information or not via the TYPE/NOTYPE parameters in SMFPRMxx. While exits are one way to do it, for organizations that want to support exits, why not just have this be a standard piece of information that is collected, with a standard SMF record type?

.This item is unlikely to be given high enough priority to be placed into the product plan.
