Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Search existing ideas

Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

z/OSMF SMF support

Based on an already closed z/OSMF RFE request (RFE ID: 47399) in 2014 I want to re-open a similar request to ask for SMF support again.
We are in need of a central logging feature for actually ALL z/OSMF activities (e.g. Login-Logout, invoking plugins, tracking used commands
in all plugins, etc ...)
Provide a SMF process that will show the product usage by users in its entirety. This will allow customers to track who is using the product
along with what plug-ins are being used and what they have done during their session. Current information in the IZUGx.log files shows some
user activity but doesn't show any activity in more detail. Each activity of all available plug-ins should be reported in SMF, resp. in SMF Subtypes.
