Enhance z/OSMF Desktop Interface

An enhanced user interface will benefit all users by reducing the effort needed to get around in the GUI.

Hi,

Currently, the z/OSMF Desktop Interface consists of an unstructured group of icons and a status line. When an icon is opened by a double click, the default size of the resulting sub-window is always too small to be useful, making it necessary to enlarge the window by double clicking it's title, or dragging it's edges or corners. When maximized, the status bar becomes invisible, making it cumbersome to navigate between functions.

Suggestions:

1. Change the default size of a sub-window to something more practical / realistic, preferably in relation to the available browser window size.

2. Avoid hiding the status bar when a sub-window is maximized, thus simplifying navigation between functions.

3. Allow an icon to be opened by a single click. Currently, a single click doesn't appear to have any function. Double-clicking is therefore an unnecessary requirement.

4. It would also be useful to highlight the currently active sub-window in the status line.

Kind regards,
Norman Ouwerkerk
