Hi Team
I was very much surprised to know that there is no such command to clear all the forked client sessions when SSHD is being stopped for an IPL / Recycles and we need to wait for all these sessions to close down or get closed due to being idle.
This is a very basic feature to have in a product where the admin needs to have the control of closing down connections when it is needed during an IPL / maintenance and it cannot be left UP while some user is doing SSH as the maintenance windows are pretty tight these days and we cannot allow SSH to hold the IPL for ransom. This feature is there in Telnet , where it clears all sessions when stopped and TCPIP too, closes down all TCP/UDP connections when being stopped for a IPL.
Please get this sorted on priority.
