option to disable updating last-reference for given volumes

Our 'system' volumes are mounted read-only so they can be shared among multiple, unrelated, z/OS systems. The syslog is full of following error messages related to data sets on these volumes;
IEC331I 028-002(000C0010),job,step,IGG0CLEG

IEC331I catalog

IEC331I dsn

IEC332I PUPD,ALNV,ALTR,IDVR,CDVR,ACD1

IEC333I P016(000),10,catalog,dsn

IOS000I 0499,45,WRI,E7,0200,,00080000,volume,CATALOG , 169

PREFIX PARAMETER LIST DATA = 01C00080000000000000000000C00000

00080000000800000106280000130002

80000000

My guess is this is due to a failed attempt to update the last-reference date. If so, it would be good to a way (PARMLIB ?) to specify which volumes are read-only, and thus no write attempts are done to them.

    This item is a valid requirement but unlikely to be given high enough priority to be placed into the product plan. If this requirement is high value, please re-open it, or open a new requirement.
