The EXPDT retention method needs an option for WHILECATALOG control that is independent of expiration date and relies on catalog status only

In the VRSEL retention method, you can code WHILECATALOG and IGNORE EXPIRY DATE = YES. The effect of this is that when the catalog is deleted, the dataset is no longer retained and in the next run of the EXPROC function will be release. In the EXPDT retention method there are two choices WHILECATALOG(UNTILEXPIRED) and WHILECATALOG(ON). Under WC(UNITLEXPIRED), the dataset is retained as long as the catalog entry is valid and the expiration date has not passed. Under WHILECATALOG(ON), the dataset is retained as long as the catalog entry is valid, however once the catalog entry is deleted, the dataset is further kept until the expiration date is passed. So there is no way under the EXPDT retention method to have the equivalent of VRSEL WHILECATALOG with IGNORE EXPIRY DATE = YES, which represents a true catalog control only methodology.  Something perhaps called WHILECATALOG(ONLY), where the only factor determining retention is the catalog entry and the expiration date is irrelevant needs to be created.
