Create a spreadsheet dur SMF 113

In an old version of RMF under the Windows application there is an IBM RMF Performance Management application. Under this application there was the HIS and CSV Reporting which analyzed the SMF 113. It seems that IBM with the new versions, IBM decided to remove this function. IBM no longer offers any alternative for generating graphics on the SMF 113. The only solution is to send our SMF to IntelliMagic. So I ask IBM to put back support for SMF 113 records in RMF as before.

    Hello,

Unfortunately, HIS and CSV reporting were not part of RMF. Can you share with us what kind of analysis you would like to perform? If you are looking for capacity analysis of System Z processors then zPCR would be the right choice (it is HIS data based).

In case you want to create your own flexible analysis of SMF113, IBM offers IBM SMF Explorer tool ? Python framework to access SMF data directly from the z/OS host. With the help of this tool you will be able to access SMF 113 data, process it, and visualise with the help of Python and Jupyter Notebooks. The IBM SMF Explorer Github repository provides you with a JupyterLab environment, Tutorials and Samples to get started quickly.
