New JES2 policy to replace JES2 EXIT 6 functions like security checking for TIME parameter.

Hi

We don’t want users to specify TIME=nnnn/NOLIMIT on the exec or job statement without proper authorization.

So the idea is to check if a user specifies TIME=nnnn/NOLIMIT in his JCL and then check via the “AuthorityCheck” function a RACF profile if he has proper access.

I guess the difficulty is that the time parameter can be specified on different places:

Job card

EXEC statement in the job

EXEC statement in a procedure

I already had a discussion with Marna Walle and Tom Wasik and Micah Nelson about this topic.
