How can we detect all list of RACROUTE calls with LOG=NONE for all codes of IBM on OMVS? Is there any way to find out list of RACROUTE calls with LOG=NONE and fix them?

We have focused on why violations on IBM USS side sometimes are not logged . Our Security team have asked this question to support of our ESM (External Security Manager) product.

They advised us to contact with you to fix those issues for the USS RACROUTE calls, because BroadcomTop Secret responds to security calls and doesn't issue them. It is the application that is issuing theRACROUTE security call withLOG=NONE.

The external security manager (TSS,ACF2,RACF) will respect the LOG=NONE which means don't log/audit the violations, don't write security violations messages.

LOG=NONE setting on the RACROUTE security call will not and cannot be overridden by external ESM (External Security Manager) such as Top Secret, ACF2 and RACF.

Can you detect all list of RACROUTE calls with LOG=NONE for all codes of IBM on OMVS? Is there any way to find out list of RACROUTE calls with LOG=NONE and fix them?

    After reviewing our code and going through the cases involved, it is still unclear as to where this issue could be. If a specific RACROUTE is identified, please open a new idea.

    I have reviewed both cases and also talked to L2 and have not been able to obtain any information on the specific RACROUTE calls. Is there anyone else that may be able to provide that information?

    Can you provide specific examples where logging is not occurring? We would like to get a better understanding of some of the scenarios you are seeing. Sometimes multiple SAF calls are made for a single z/OS UNIX request, and sometimes success and failure logging are performed by different services, including non-RACROUTE callable services.
