Compatibility between Striped multi-layered VSAMs and Fast replication

We would like to use FAST REPLICATION to copy Striped multi-layered VSAMs.

Today if we try to do that, we get the messages:

ADR938E (001)-AMOVE(15), FASTREPLICATION(REQUIRED) WAS SPECIFIED BUT FAST REPLICATION COULD NOT BE USED FOR DATA SET

Where "A" means "The source data set is a multi-layered VSAM data set, for which DFSMSdss must invoke a utility to move the data. This happens when multi-layered VSAM data sets are being flashed by using FR(REQ). Currently, DSS does not have the capability to flash multi-layered striped volumes."

Striped VSAMs significantly reduced response time for DB2 data sets, but the inability to do fast replication limits its usability.
