RELATED IDEAS

Optional default NEWGEN or NOGEN for edit command SAVE

This applies to PDSE libraries with version 2 and number of generations bigger than 0.
AS-IS :
You create a new generation of a member every time you change and save it since SAVE NEWGEN is the default for current generation of the member.
So if you don't want that to happen you have to use SAVE NOGEN each time; pretty cumbersome. 
TO-BE :
I believe you want to do an active choice when a new generation is to be created (I would).
The obvious choice is that the user can decide what the default is for the edit SAVE command. 
As a suggestion I think that should be a part of the EDIT PROFILE (along values for AUTOSAVE etc)
