FileZilla and other FTP clients have issue wih zOS data set file that is multi-volume with more then 99 extents, those FTP softwares is not able to display such files.
In zOS example:
- Enter "/" to select action Tracks %Used XT
----------------------------------------------------------------------
GIAHON.M2T1.CSQBOTH 10277 100 322
After Debug in FileZilla and following was found:
2024-07-10 11:21:44 41104 1 Listing: Volume Unit Referred Ext Used Recfm Lrecl BlkSz Dsorg Dsname
2024-07-10 11:21:44 41104 1 Listing: TR5023 3390 2024/07/10 14 427 VB 32756 32760 PS CSQBACK
2024-07-10 11:21:44 41104 1 Listing: TR5022 3390 2024/07/10 ++ 491 VB 32756 32760 PS CSQBOTH
So seems FileZilla could display only files with 99 Ext. and not with 999 or more.
FileZilla answer was that IBM zOS FTP don't support the MLSD command, which uses a standardized format for directory listings, as specified in RFC 3659. https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc3659
So we asked IBM to take it with next updates when is possible.
Thank you in advance!
