Save the selection of the “Retain Last Selection” option after leaving the SDSF Panel

With z/OS 3.1 a new option "Retain last selection" for the SDSF confirmation of action characters was introduced. The Retain last selection option can be used to default the action character confirmation with the last used value for the duration that the panel is displayed. When you leave the panel, your "Retain last selection" setting  will be discarded. Instead of switching off the action chrarcter confirmation completely, it would be a useful addition to be able to save the “Retain last selection” setting.

This request is declined. The intent of the change was to prevent inadvertent deletion of output and saving the option reduces the effectiveness of the confirmation dialog. This behavior is consistent with the ISPF 3.4 option to "Set data set delete confirmation off" until the panel is closed.
