We cannot fulfill the request as written, since OSA does not have an IP stack (which would be required to do a 'ping'). However, would you find it to be valuable if IBM provided an interface on the SE (Support Element) to verify that the link is operational to the connected switch, in which we would request 'nearest neighbor' information and return it to the user?
