Public REST API for available solutions

As a systems programmer I want to be able to identify new PTFs that have been released by IBM and other software vendors but have not been received in my environment yet. This information should be accessible directly from the z/OSMF UI.

The Software Toolkit Plugin for z/OSMF developed by Broadcom provides this information directly in z/OSMF UI but only for Broadcom solutions. Having a public REST API for available solutions would allow Broadcom to implement this feature in the Software Toolkit for IBM products as well.

Thank you for your request. Can you please provide additional information to describe how you would use such a capability, what problem would be solved, and how such a capability simplifies or improves your workflow? Why is it important to identify new PTFs that are available but have not yet been received into your local SMP/E global zone? Why is it not sufficient to identify PTFs received in your local global zone that have not yet been installed? Thank you for any additional insight you can provide.
