LISTLEVEL is a server configuration option which is *not* adequate. Changing it forces everyone to change. It should be a client 'site' option.

Have you looked at the LISTLEVEL config statement available on the FTP server side to see if this provides what you need?
    - When LISTLEVEL is set to 0, it indicates that PDS, PDSE and z/OS® UNIX data sets are displayed with a DSORG value of PO.
    - When LISTLEVEL is set to 1, it indicates that PDS data sets are displayed with a DSORG value of PO, PDSE data sets are displayed with a DSORG value of PO-E, and z/OS UNIX data sets are displayed with a DSORG value of z/OS UNIX file system.
Does this address what you are looking for?
