After careful consideration, this RFE is being rejected. IUTSAMEH represents a strategic and critical device interface for the stack. Future initiatives could depend on this capability, thereby building additional dependencies on the IUTSAMEH function. Any new functions could rely on the presence of this device along with the current automatic startup capability. Providing a user with the ability to disable IUTSAMEH startup would contradict this strategy and require adding additional capabilities to coordinate with this new option for any such future dependencies. This adds additional cost and complexity into the product that can’t be justified.
