z/OSMF Network Configuration Assistant to support shared configuration in a sysplex

Using the Network Configuration Assistant within z/OSMF you first create a z/OS Group (type Sysplex) called PLEX1 say, then add a z/OS System Image (type System Image) into the group called MVSA, and then add a TCP/IP Stack (type Stack) under the System Image called TCPMVSA. So for a sysplex with four LPARs in it you would have, as an example, one group called PLEX1 with four System Images called MVSA, MVSB, MVSC and MVSD. Under each System Image you would have a Stack related to that image, TCPMVSA, TCPMVSB, TCPMVSC and TCPMVSD.
If we are talking about AT-TLS we wold then have to create one configuration per Stack and install each one into /etc/attls.conf on each System Image.
This has been the case ever since the Network Configuration Assistant was released.

We are users of parallel sysplex and share many configuration files and we would like to be able to configure one AT-TLS configuration for the Sysplex.

Using my example again, in the Network Configuration Assistant this would mean creating a z/OS Group with only one AT-TLS configuration to installed into either a shared USS file or a shared dataset. It would mean that the AT-TLS configuration would be aligned to the Sysplex and not the Stack.

This can be achieved today by simply configuring only one AT-TLS configuration and placing it into the shared USS file or shared dataset. Altneratively you could create a dummy stack to represent the AT-TLS configuration for the sysplex and install it into the shared space.
