SSI using FCP attached storage

Remove current existing pre-requisite for having DASD/ECKD attached storage for using an SSI cluster.
Nearly all new Linux for System z customers do not have DASD/ECKD storage devices. Especially when a new z customer migrates from distributed environment to System z, they have SAN skill but no DASD skill and are also not willing to start into this area. . . We are already happy if we can convince new customers to use System z, but also to exchange their architecture for disk infrastructure is most likely not possible.
SAN/FCP only customers are not able to use SSI technology.

I got contacted by a customer who I met on a conference in Budapst/Hungary. Here is an

SSI on FCP is important in shops where customers are not running z/OS and have V7000 only. Acquiring a used V8k is an option but is hugely awkward one and no one likes it.
We'd really appreciate these features being included in future release of z/VM releases.
