Create Health Check for Hardware Messages

We would like to have a health check for hardware messages on HMC. For example, when an RSF service call fails for some reason, it will be reported on HMC but we would like to see an exception on health check panel to. In our installation the HMCs...

Propagate HMC certificates to defined CPCs to allow LDAP login with secure certs.

In the conversations with IBM, the following appears to be the recommended path and we are good with this approach. We need to ensure that users (including IBM techs) can log into the Support elements using trusted AD-LDAP and our Privileged User ...

HMC Security requires pattern matching to support our DevOps model

We need to give appropriate permission to our Linux LPARs to our DevOps community, we have dozens of different use cases with their own DevOps team. Separation of duty is critical, and elevated authority (such as PoR, STP/CTN etc) must be able to ...

Option To Set A Logoff Timer For Users Showing As Disconnected

We have noticed that when some users are in Adapter panels and LPAR Controls (Possibly others) evem if they only have view access that they seem to lock the task out so others cannot access it. This seems to then remain locked even when the userid...

Please add ACME Client feature for automatic Certificate Generation

Most if not all companies no longer allow Self-Signed Certs on their network. Most if not all organizations are requiring 90 day, 180 day or 365 Day certificate renewals. On the Z HMC this is a cumbersome task .. especially for 90 day cert renewal...

HMC/SE capability to send heartbeat notifcations

We have a requirement that sources of event messages that send events to our monitoring solution are also able to send heartbeat style events to indicate their continued ability to send events as and when they do occur, thereby providing a method ...

Enable Remote Option For HMC Application Restart

Would it be possible to have the option to restart the HMC app via remote access rather than just local? This maybe all that is required rather than the more heavy handed restart which I believe will take out the SE as well whereas the app restart...

Release BCPii commands to manage ADD/REMOVE Partitions, inside CAPACITY GROUP resources for zXX IBM Processors

It could be useful for Customer called to dynamically change (expecially if required in recursively way) Lpars associated to Capacity Groups. I think it could be made available via new simple HWISET BCPii commands inside z/OS platform. Actually th...

allow BCPii to show current number of engines enabled to a Z/OS (and any other type of) LPAR

There is currently a field in BCPii (number-general-purpose-processors) that we thought was the number of current GP engens enabled. Support has confirmed that this is not the current number of engines that are live, it's once again a re-statement...

Allow BCPii to see capacity records that have been downloaded but not accepted/installed. Even better would be for it to install those records and activate them if desired. Activation is most likely only useful for loaner record.

If there is a new capacity record downloaded, we can't even see it in BCPii. If we could we could alert someone that an action needs to be taken to "get" that record. Of course, letting BCPii get the record would be even better than just letting B...
