RELATED IDEAS

CEC degradation is not a major alert

When there is a CEC refrigeration problem, the CEC protects itself reducing processor speed to decrease power consumption and heat generation.
The hardware alert generated is not considered a critical condition by IBM service and is not tacked into account immediately.
Messages IWM063I & IWM064 appears in the z/OS systems of this CEC indicating this problem.
