z/OSMF Support to Provide Resource Inventory Managementy

When using Ansible or other orchestration technologies it would be helpful to have z/OSMF CP&M act as a resource manager for resources on z/OS.

Ideally, having z/OSMF enable the following functions:

1. Provide a unique ID to associate multiple resource allocations against
2. Request managed resources (like VIPA, TCP Port, Dataset, APPLID, as examples)
3. Enable the ability to ammend resources associated with a unique ID
4. Allow for the removal of resources from the unique ID
5. Delete the unique ID and automatically allow return of those resources to the resource manager

    .We will publish template/workflow to show example of how resources can be obtained by provisioning the template. There will be unique ID (known as registry ID) associated with the provisioned template and that unique ID includes all the resources that are obtained during provisioning of template. The resources can be released to pool and unique ID deleted by performing deprovisioning action..
    We will publish sample template in zorow community as an example.

    The requirement can be handled by creating a template that has step to obtain network resources (e.g. Port, DVIPA, APPL ID). Once the template is published it can be invoked from ansible play book using CP&M provided roles. After resources are provisioned, using ansible role, detailed about provisioned resources can be obtained and when resource are not required it can be freed up using ansible role.
    template will be provided in zorow community to show an example workflow.
