Support for YYYY/MM/DD format in REXX DATE() function

Can a new option be added to the REXX DATE() function that returns a date in YYYY/MM/DD format, as required by LMMSTATS CREATED4 format? Maybe DATE('S/')?

Thanks for suggesting that, but if this is done, the dash "-" character should also be allowed as separator.

(e.g. DATE('S-') to use the suggested format. Yielding 2022-03-31 as in the ISO date format.

    Thank you

This has been accepted as an uncommitted candidate for future implementation. If implemented, the externals of the function will need to be vetted against the other platforms that have REXX implementations to ensure it is not in conflict with other implementations.
