This is the public portal for all IBM Z Hardware and Operating System related offerings. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

More and more, z/OS is moving into the Open environment and working with other Open platforms and software including Red Hat, Docker, and containers. This should be an incentive to include more schema attributes and object classes into ITDS z/OS LDAP which currently still only provides basic attributes and objectclasses in schema.user.ldif and schema.IBM.ldif.
RFC 2307 https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2307
includes many schema attributes and classes that are not found in z/OS LDAP but are common outside of z/OS. This is a request to incorporate them into z/OS LDAP.

By clicking the "Post Comment" or "Submit Idea" button, you are agreeing to the IBM Ideas Portal Terms of Use.
Do not place IBM confidential, company confidential, or personal information into any field.
Is there already a new one opened as stated in the last comment or what is the state of this? It shows 'future considerations' but the last comment mentions a resubmit is required, that's confusing. Is there already a new one or is still still valid according to its state?
This requirement is not currently in-plan, but will be considered as a potential candidate in a follow-on release.
This item is unlikely to be given high enough priority to be placed into the product plan. If you feel that this requirement is needed, please resubmit or create a new updated request.
