RELATED IDEAS

LE individual modules CEEROPT and CEEUOPT should be treated the same

CEEROPT and CEEUOPT allow for the passage of LE options at the individual job/application level. However, currently CEEROPT and be loaded from STEPLIB while CEEUOPT requires that it be linked with the application/program.

CEEROPT is for region level LE overrides (CICS etc) and CEEUOPT is for batch overrides.


Both modules should be able to load from STEPLIB.

    Thank you for submitting the requirement. The CEEUOPT is designed to only impact a specific application. CEEROPT is designed to impact a group of applications.
    So load CEEUOPT will regress our existing behavior.
    I'm afraid we can not implement CEEUOPT this way.
    Let me know if you still want to pursue some kind of requirement, or have any more questions.
