DSECT for SHCDS Listrecovery output or DSECTs for SHCDS-Commands outputs for processing/examining the output via program. If this is not possible, then please give a hint via SMPE (Usermod, Hold...) or somewhat else when the layout of this output changes.

 We are using RLS in CICS and we use EXCI interface for quiescing and unquiescing Datasets in CICS, for further batch processing of RLS-datasets. To determine then recovery-status of the datasets which need to be quiesced via EXCI, we use IDCAMS-processing with a program and generated SHCDS List Recovery commands for the datasets which are to be processed. The output of the SHCD List recovery commands is examined with a program (retained locks/lostlocks...). For this analysis of the output we created a DSECT to process the output of the Recovery Command using the descriptions in DFSMS Access Method Services Commands

So, if there shall be changes to the layout of the output from the SHCDS List Recovery (or in general SHCDS Commands) this can lead to problems in the processing chain of the EXCI-Quiesce-processing in our company.

    Hi, Thank you for your suggestion. We rarely if ever change the output to the SHCDS commands. Should we have a need to change the output we would ship a ++HOLD documenting the change as you mention in your submission.
