For Migrated IAM datasets Store IAMINFO and IAMAIX FPLs in the non-VSAM MIGRAT catalog entry that would indicate this is an IAM dataset and store associations (AIX/Path).

Right now, HSM does not work in full compatibility with IAM. HSM doesn’t understand the associations of the IAM data set. For example, if customer issues HDELETE for cluster, HSM only deleted Cluster not AIX/Path. To overcome from it, IAM issue DELETE Internally for AIX/Path, but for that it needs name of AIX/Path and for that it needs to access control blocks inside IAM file and for that IAM Recalls clusters. As there is no way to know if Migrated file is IAM file, IAM have to issue RECALL on all files even non-IAM. Delete errors out in HSM if ALLOC option SYSTEM IEFBR14_DELMIGDS (NORECALL) is set, as HSM expect MIGRAT Catalog entry for it.
To avoid this situation, we switched off this code and asked customer to Delete Sphere parts (Cluster/AIX/Path) separately as work around for now. IAMINFO and IAMAIX are IAM FPLs. Using them we can know Migrated IAM file properties including associations. We can issue HDELETE on AIX/ Path in IAM. Net effect will be, Cluster/AIX/Path will be deleted when HDELETE is issued for Migrated IAM cluster.
