This is the public portal for all IBM Z Hardware and Operating System related offerings. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

I am completely confused why IBM doesn't have a comparable sample or exit available for the zVM environment and is compatible or works between systems. With continued higher and higher security concerns and requirements we have been out of compliance for over two (2) YEARS because our mainframe environments do not allow the flexibility which is currently available on other platforms. Our users need to be allowed to define their passwords across multiple platforms which follows a standard put in place within our corporate environment. Currently, our zOS and zVM which allows password replication across environments cannot follow that standard because there are restriction put in place by basic RACF standards. Its our understanding the ICHPWX01 EXIT on zOS allows for that flexibility to be put in place, yet zVM does not have a comparable EXIT. Until an EXIT similar to the zOS EXIT is provided, we are DEAD in the water or will be forced to look to other alternatives. These type issues provide additional fuel to our senior management of getting off the mainframe platform. What can be done to push this type of request higher on your priority list?
