Customer is requesting an RFE to provide a progress indicator for CFCC image activation.

Due to the large amount of storage we define in the CFCC image, it is taking 10 minutes or more for the CFCC Operating System Messages console to come up after we activate a CFCC image. The image activation itself that you initiate at the HMC completes very quick, but it takes a long time for the console to come up and our operators have no idea if it’s a problem or if anything is going on. Per IBM support, the delay is because they must initialize storage and processor resources. With this amount of storage , it just takes longer.

The status/progress indicator would let us know that it is truly still in progress as opposed to not knowing what is going on and just waiting (10 minutes or more).

The progress indicator could be viewed at the HMC or even if you could get the console to come up quickly and you could monitor progress there.
