RELATED IDEAS

z/OSMF generated FTP JCL includes plain text userid and password

When we are sending in documentation, z/OSMF uses FTP to transmit the data. z/OSMF builds the JCL and the userid/password is included in the JCL in clear text. Anyone can browse the job and find the userid/password.

I would suggest that the userid/password be placed in a file and read
as input to the FTP steps.

The same thing happens when using the z/OS Problem documentation Upload Utility (Parallel FTP with optional encryption) under z/OSMF.
