This is the public portal for all IBM Z Hardware and Operating System related offerings. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

We have a client who's using C++ collate transform() functions; and has reported an issue with its functionality.
After our investigation, our development team has determined that in order to get the desired functionality, we rely on some new functions from the LE team:
size_t n_strxfrm_l(char *outputBegin, const char *InputBegin, const char *InputEnd, size_t & outputMaxLength, const locale_t locale)
size_t n_wcsxfrm_l(wchar_t * outputBegin, const wchar_t * InputBegin, const wchar_t *InputEnd, size_t & outputMaxLength, const locale_t locale)
They are similar to POSIX system call strxfrm_l and wcsxfrm_l. But they consume one more parameter, which is the char pointer to the end of the source string.
strxfrm_l and wcsxfrm_l stop once they hit the NULL char in the source string, but the new system call that we are requesting stop only when we reach the char pointer that points to the end of the source string.
