This is the public portal for all IBM Z Hardware and Operating System related offerings. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

DFSMSdss should be enhanced to allow clients to set default processing options for DFSMSdss operations using a parmlib member. For example, the ADMINISTRATOR could be one of the options to support the following use case described below.
.
BTW, quite a similar approach was already introduced by ICKDSF and DFSMS as follows.
- ICKDSF R17 APAR PI67283 & z/OS V2R1,V2R2 DFSMS APAR OA51084:
NEW FUNCTION - ENABLE NODSEXIST PARAMETER DEFAULT IN ICKDSF INIT COMMAND VIA DEVSUPxx PARMLIB MEMBER
- ICKDSF R17 APAR PI52935 & z/OS V1R13,V2R1,V2R2 DFSMS APAR OA49447/OA49448:
NEW FUNCTION - DISABLE VERIFYOFFLINE PARAMETER DEFAULT IN INIT AND REFORMAT COMMANDS VIA DEVSUPxx PARMLIB MEMBER
- z/OS V2R2 DFSMS IGGCATxx parmlib member:
GDGPURGE(YES|NO) specifies what the default for IDCAMS DEFINE GDG command should be when neither the PURGE nor the NOPURGE parameter is specified. (Default: NO)
GDGSCRATCH(YES|NO) specifies what the default for IDCAMS DEFINE GDG command should be when neither the SCRATCH nor the NOSCRATCH parameter is specified. (Default: NO)
.
I have contacted Robert Gensler in DFSMSdss Development and he suggested to open an RFE.

DISABLing VERIFYOFFLINE is risky. we had a storage admin initializing sysres'es of production LPARs taking it down accidentally.
