z/OSMF system variables should provide a way to retrieve just one system variable (instead of all variables)

I want to use the z/OSMF system variable API (e.g. https://s0w1.canlab.ibm.com:8136/zosmf/variables/rest/1.0/systems/ADCDPL.S0W1) but would like to be able to specify the retrieval of just one system variable, e.g. with:
https://s0w1.canlab.ibm.com:8136/zosmf/variables/rest/1.0/systems/ADCDPL.S0W1?fred
to retrieve just the system variable 'fred'. Right now, I have to retrieve all the variables, which would become very inefficient if a large amount of system variables was being used
