RELATED IDEAS

DFDSS to define new target GDG base and use relative generations for target GDS's.

DFDSS has the ability to process input Generation Data Sets via relative generation numbers, but cannot create new target generations using the relative generation (+n). It also cannot define target GDG's as part of a COPY or RESTORE operation.

    Hello, Great idea. I need it because i want to use FLASHCOPY function to duplicate instantanely a file from normal file to GDG file. The copy function using ICEGENER is very long and CPU expensive, with DFDSS is will take less than 1 seconde for 8 Gb. Thanks
