Problem using ISPF edit REPLACE command

When trying to copy a block of data marked with a pair of "CC" using the REPLACE command and specifying a data set name on panel "Edit/View Replace" (ISRERPL1), this may lead to the following problem.

If the data set you specified is a PDS(E) you get prompted by message "Enter member name" to add a member name. If this is not desired and you rename or delete the PDS(E), create a new PS data set with the same name (for example using another ISPF screen and going back to ISRERPL1 in the end) the message is displayed again although the data set is no longer a PDS(E).

You need to go back with the END or CANCEL key and loose the marked data lines.

Dirk Schwartzkopff from "Alte Leipziger" (see PMR for phone number and email address) would most like to see that ISPF tests for the status of the dataset again when pressing ENTER again on panel ISRERPL1. It may also be okay when the marked block is kept if you press CANCEL instead, then RETRIEVE and again ENTER.

This item is unlikely to be given high enough priority to be placed into product plan.
