Monitor string usage

As described in PMR we had an issue after dynamic strings added.We had no idea we were close to limit and we are not aware how often this happens.We suggest to add monitoring for the dynamic string as described in Use Case.

SDSP for disk backup volumes

I would like IBM to implement the use of Small Dataset Packing Datasets (SDSPs) on HSM dasd backup volumes, to minimize the number of entries in the VTOC, similar to your SDSP implemention on ML1 volumes.

New Version of HSM Recycle Command

Current HSM Recycle holds large tapes for a very long time. If someone needs a dataset, the system can be held a long time.

dfhsm HRecover

DFHSM currently allows HRECOVER commands to be issued on a d/s or per volume basis. Rqmnt: Provide the capability to use dfhsm HRECOVER command to recover an entire Storage Group with a single command.
