z/VM TCPIP utilities (PING FTP TELNET TRACERTE) use the first address returned from a DNS server. This may be an IPV6 address - if the originating system is only IPV4 the result is "EDC8118I Network is unreachable". This can be bypassed by using the ADDRTYPE arg but we would prefer smarter DNS lookup. z/OS and zLinux handle this without using ADDRTYPE.

Much to my chagrin, I found that I could not create a PDSE V2 data set using the available parameters in the SITE command, rather only a PDSE V1. I had to use the rather roundabout way of using DFDSS unload, FTP the unload file, then DFDSS reload.
